Head's Welcome
A very warm welcome to Landon School Harmondsworth.
Landon School is a specialist independent day school for children and young people aged 5 to 18 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We specialise in supporting young people with autism and severe learning difficulties. At Landon, we place every learner at the heart of our practice, celebrating their individuality and supporting them to thrive both within and beyond the classroom.
Our vision is clear: to create a safe, nurturing and ambitious environment where pupils are valued for who they are and challenged to achieve their very best. Everything we do is underpinned by our simple but powerful ethos: Safe. Happy. Learning. These three words capture our belief that children learn best when they feel secure, when they are valued and supported, and when their education is engaging, meaningful and inspiring.
A defining feature of Landon School is our multi-disciplinary approach. Alongside highly skilled teachers and support staff, pupils benefit from input from therapists and external specialists. Together, we provide a holistic programme that develops core skills for independence, communication and personal growth.
Although still a young school, Landon has already established a strong foundation built on care, consistency and collaboration. Our curriculum is tailored to the needs of our young people, founded on expert practice and research-based approaches – including the SCERTS framework and the Equals curriculum – that support our learners to overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.
We are proud of our pupils and families, who are central to our journey, and of our staff, whose dedication ensures that Landon is a place where children feel safe, respected and inspired to succeed.
If you are exploring whether Landon School might be the right fit for your child, I encourage you to connect with your local authority SEND team and ask them to consult with us. You would also be very welcome at one of our open days – we would be delighted to show you our school.
