The School Day

Our school day begins promptly at 8:45am and finishes at 2:45pm, Monday to Friday.

A predictable rhythm

Predictability matters enormously to our pupils, so every class follows a consistent daily structure supported by visual timetables and clear routines. While each class's timetable is personalised, a typical day includes:

  • A calm, structured arrival with time to settle and regulate before learning begins.
  • Morning learning sessions – communication-rich teaching in small groups and one-to-one, with movement and sensory breaks built in.
  • Lunchtime – a supported, sociable mealtime; freshly prepared food is available and menus are published on our School Meals page.
  • Afternoon sessions – including practical learning, therapies, physical activity, play and community-based learning.
  • A structured end to the day, preparing pupils for a calm transition home.

Therapies within the day

Speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and other provision set out in pupils' EHCPs are delivered within the school day, integrated into lessons and routines rather than bolted on.

If you have questions about your child's timetable, please speak to their class teacher or contact the school office on 020 8153 0201.
